Questions, answered

Will these fit wide feet or bunions?

Yes. Both shoes are built on a wider last, and the Cat is the one with the foot-shaped toe box. That shape, plus soft leather that moulds to your foot, gives space for different shapes of feet without pain or pressure, so your toes can splay. If your feet are on the extra-wide end, size up. For the most give, try Brushed Gold or Juniper. Bunions work in both shoes.

I have bunions. Which shoe?

Either. Bunions aren't what decides it, because the soft leather moulds around a bunion instead of pressing on it, and both shoes lace up so you can ease off across the instep. What decides it is the toe box, covered below.

I have fan-shaped feet. Which shoe?

The Cat. Its foot-shaped toe box is the one that follows a forefoot that spreads out, so your toes sit where they naturally fall. The Ava's almond toe box won't give you that width at the front, so go with the Cat here.

What's the difference between the Cat and the Ava?

Two questions settle it.

  • Does your foot fit into a pointed toe box? If it doesn't, go with the Cat.
  • Do you want your toes to spread out? If you do, go with the Cat for that too.

The Ava is the one to pick if your feet do fit a pointed toe box and you want the traditional silhouette. Both lace up so you can adjust across the instep, and both work for bunions.

How can I find my size?

We size by length. Measure each foot heel to longest toe, take the bigger number, and match it to the chart on the shoe's page (Cat and Ava have their own charts). The soft leather moulds to your foot for width, so length is all you're solving for. Still unsure? Your first exchange is free in both Canada and the US. See the size & fit guide.

What dance styles can I use these shoes for?

All social dance styles that need a slick, sliding sole. Our customers dance Lindy Hop, West Coast Swing, Salsa, Jive, and much more, all on a natural leather sole built to glide.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is free anywhere in Canada until August 31. After that, Canadian rates are shown at checkout.Shipping to the US is a flat $15, with duties prepaid, so the price you see at checkout is the price you pay. Either way, shipping is free on your first order if you join our newsletter.

When do the shoes ship?

The First Edition is a preorder and ships the week of September 27, 2026. We'll email you a tracking link the moment your pair goes out.

Where do the shoes ship?

Across Canada and to the US. Every order ships from Canada, and for US orders duties are prepaid, so there are no surprise fees at delivery.

What's your return policy?

You have 14 days from delivery to start a return. Shoes need to come back in resellable condition: unworn, in their original box, with both sets of laces and the insoles, and the leather soles and uppers unmarked. Return shipping is on us. Read the full policy.

Why haven't I heard of you before?

Because we're new! We started in 2025, proudly Canadian, and we're already dancing with customers across Canada, the US, and Europe. Read our story.
